Experience the wonders of Serengeti National Park on a 14-days Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar Beach Safari. Witness the majestic big cats, countless wildebeests, boundless plains, and breathtaking African sunsets. After a long day of traveling and hiking, you will descend from Kilimanjaro, the world’s tallest freestanding mountain, and unwind on the exotic beaches of Zanzibar.

You can climb Kilimanjaro using one of three different routes: the Machame Route, the Rongai Route, or the Umbwe Route. The six-day version of your chosen route will be followed.

Day 1: Arrival to Tanzania.

Day 2 – 7:  Mount Kilimanjaro Hike.

Day 8: Arusha and transfer to Serengeti National Park (fly in).

Day 9: Serengeti Full Day.

Day 10: Fly from Serengeti to Zanzibar.

Day 11: Stone Town Tour.

Day 12: Nungwi Beach Experience

Day 13: Nungwi Beach Experience & Spice Tour or Dolphin Tour.

Day 14: Breakfast and Departure

Detailed itinerary of the 14-days Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar Beach Safari (Day by Day)

Day 1: Arrival to Tanzania

Upon arrival,  you will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be met by our guide who will drive you to your hotel in Arusha.

Dinner and overnight accommodation at your hotel in Arusha.

 

Day 2 – 7:  Kilimanjaro Climb

Enjoy your morning breakfast  on this day and start your hike to the mountain for over 6 days starting from 2nd to 7th. You will climb and descend Mount Kilimanjaro on your preferred route; the route options for  this package  are Machame Route, Rongai Route, and Umbwe Route. You will do the six days version of whichever of the three routes you select.

On the final day of descent from the mountain(the seventh day), our driver will meet you at the mountain gate from where he will drive you to your hotel in Arusha  the remainder of the day will be spent relaxing in preparation for the next day when you will start your Northern Tanzania Safari

 

Day 8: Arusha – Serengeti National Park (fly in)

Enjoy your breakfast and get ready to embark on your journey to Arusha international Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport from where you will fly on a light aircraft to Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival, at  Serengeti national park,  you will be met by our guide who will brief you, you will enjoy your lunch and then  get ready for an afternoon of game viewing where you will see quite a number of animals such as lions, zebras and so many others.

Dinner and overnight accommodation at your hotel/camp in Serengeti.

 

Day 9: Serengeti Full Day

Enjoy your morning breakfast and then your guide will drive you to the park for a game drive where you will get to see quite a number of animals such as zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos, the wildebeests and so many others. Enjoy your lunch and get ready for another evening game drive where you will also continue to enjoy the wildlife such as the  zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos and the great herds of wildebeests. Africa’s top predators will also be seen on this day; you will see lions, leopards, hyenas, and cheetahs.

 

Day 10: Serengeti – Zanzibar (fly in)

After enjoying your breakfast, you will get ready and be transferred to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar on your way to the airstrip, you will enjoy your final game viewing.

On arrival in Zanzibar, our guide will drive you to your hotel in Stone Town. Late in the afternoon, you will head out for a tour of Prison Island; here you will see giant turtles and you will also visit a slave museum.

In the evening, you will head out for local Zanzibari seafood at Forodhani Gardens; here seafood is prepared from the catch of the day and is sold to locals and tourists.

Day 11: Stone Town Tour

After breakfast, you will head out to the historical Stone Town; here you will see historical buildings and places such as he House of Wonders (Beit al ajaib), the Palace Museum(People’s Palace), the Arab Fort and the Slave Chambers amongst many other attractions. You will also see and walk on ancient winding alleyways as they were walked upon by the inhabitants of the city hundreds of years ago.

In the afternoon, you will be driven to Nungwi beach where the rest of the day will be spent at leisure on the beach.

Day 12: Nungwi Beach

This day will be spent relaxing and swimming at the beach after many days of travel and hiking; if you feel energetic, you can add in a number of water sports to your beach routine. Depending on your preferences, you can engage in diving, snorkeling, paragliding, jet skiing and beach volleyball. The restful day will come to a beautiful end as you watch a spectacular sunset as the African sun sets across the Indian ocean.

Day 13: Nungwi Beach & Spice Tour or Dolphin Tour

Enjoy your breakfast  in  the morning and then  you will choose between going on a spice tour or going for a swim with the Dolphins; In  the mid afternoon, you will be driven back to Nungwi Beach to spend the remainder of the day relaxing on the beach.

Spice Tour

Incase  you opt for a spice tour, you will be driven from Stone Town to a spice farm where you will learn how some different  spices are grown and used in traditional medicines and local cuisine; you will also see, smell and taste the aromatic spices.

You will then enjoy your picnic  lunch at  the spice farm; you will  be presented with local culinary delights made using the spices and fruits grown in the spice farm. Late in the afternoon, you will be driven to the white sandy beaches of Nungwi where the remainder of the day will be spent relaxing on the beach.

Dolphin Tours

Incase  you opt for a Dolphin tour, you will  have to be driven to Kizimkazi village on the southern tip of the Zanzibar archipelago. At this village, you will swim very close to bottle nose and humpback dolphins in the ocean. Late in the afternoon, you will be driven to the white sandy beaches of Nungwi where the remainder of the day will be spent relaxing on the beach.

Day 14: Departure

Enjoy your breakfast, pack up your luggage and embark on your journey to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight back home.
