Day 1: Fly to Nyerere National Park and Do a Game drive
Early in the morning, our well-trained Driver guide will show up at your hotel to drive you to Zanzibar Airport. Following a short flight from Zanzibar, your safari will start in the breathtaking Nyerere National Park (formerly known as Selous Game Reserve). Once you arrive at Mtemere Airstrip, our driver guide will welcome you and offer a comprehensive itinerary.
Rivers, lakes, a variety of African beauties, birds, and other creatures call this vast wilderness of Nyerere National Park home. Look for a variety of fascinating wildlife species including hippos, giraffes, zebras, and elephants.
You can relax and enjoy a great pre-prepared meal during the day. The game drive runs until evening so you may appreciate the breathtaking African wilderness of Selous Game Reserve and Nyerere National Park. At last, we will take you to your accommodation, where you might enjoy a delicious meal and get a peaceful night’s sleep.
Day 2: Morning Boat Cruise and Village Tour the Departure.
This morning you will start your boat safari after drinking a cup of either tea or coffee. The trip takes two hours on average. With the extra advantage of seeing crocodiles sunbathing on the riverbanks, a plethora of birds, and roaring hippos, the daybreak will be even more breathtaking. When you get back to the resort, you will be welcome with a large and filling dinner.
Later, you will embark on an interesting village trip fully immersed in the native way of life. Our informed guide will offer an understanding of the background, customs, and other facets of society. You will also be able to explore primary schools, interact with kids, and then go back to the resort for lunch during your visit.
At 4:00 pm you will leave the lodge and fly back to Zanzibar. Our driver will be here to receive you and drive you to any hotel on the island of Zanzibar once you get to Zanzibar Airport.
