This 1-day Rwanda gorilla trekking excursion is perfect for guests on brief business vacations in Rwanda. Your guide will meet you at 4:30 AM at your hotel or at the airport if your flight lands there. At 7 in the morning, you will be briefed and introduced to the different gorilla families in the Volcanoes National Park.  Your guide will then drive you two hours north to the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park.

Only those staying in Kigali or Rwanda for a short period, such as conference attendees, will be able to participate in the 1-day Rwanda gorilla tracking. Keep in mind that the road is typically two hours and thirty minutes long; therefore, the recommended departure time for the one-day Rwanda gorilla trek is between 4 and 4:30 in the morning.
During the rainy season, you should allow an additional half an hour for travel time because the road may be partially obscured by fog, as in the Shyorongi districts.

As your guide takes care of the registration and finds a gorilla family that fits you, you can relax with a Rwandan coffee or cappuccino upon arrival at Volcanoes National Park.

After you’ve had your coffee, it’s time to join the group. Your guide will introduce you to other members following the same trail. The typical duration of the briefing is thirty minutes to an hour.
Upon reaching the park headquarters, you can meet with your gorilla trekking guide for a briefing. Following that, you will be driven to the forest trailhead, where your climb will commence. On your way to see the gorillas, enjoy the lush rainforest sights and sounds.

Because gorilla families are always on the move, visitors should expect a 2- to 8-hour trek in the park, including the one hour spent in the company of the mountain gorillas. Based on your fitness level and personal preference, we will assist you in selecting a short, medium, or long walk if you wish to view the gorillas early. Once you’ve made your selection for a family of gorillas, park rangers will endeavor to meet your requests.
After an hour with the gorillas, your driver will take you back to Kigali for your departure.
