Day 1: Nairobi

Detailed itinerary of the 8 days Maasai Mara, Amboseli and Diani Beach safari.

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival in Kenya at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our guide who will welcome you, greet you and then transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi city for check-in.  Spend the rest of your day enjoying some of Nairobi’s sites or relaxing at the hotel.

Or you can decide to have a city tour where you will visit several sites including Kiambethu Tea Farm, Karen Blixen Museum, Kazuri Beads, AFEW Giraffe Centre, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation centre.

Day 2: Transfer to Amboseli National Park & Evening Game Drive

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and head to Amboseli National Park one of the most scenic parks in Kenya situated on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Amboseli National Park is one of the best places in Africa to watch large herds of elephants with some of the most impressive tusks in the world.

Arrive in time for lunch after checking in your lodge, in the afternoon you will head out for a game drive in the savannah plains of Amboseli, you will have a chance to see several animals including large herds of elephants, wildebeests, cape buffaloes, gazelles, lions, antelopes among others.  Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day Exploring Amboseli National Park

Have breakfast and head to the plains of Amboseli National Park for a full-day game drive experience, During this experience, you will enjoy big game sightings, and watch over 80 different mammals and over 400 bird species recorded including grey crowned cranes, black-bellied bustards, goliath heron, African jacana among others. After the sunset, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer back to Nairobi and to Masai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy your breakfast and embark on your journey from Amboseli to Nairobi where you will enjoy your lunch. After lunch, you will continue with your drive to Masai Mara National Reserve driving through Narok Town where you will enjoy the local culture and have a stop at the viewpoint to have a glance at the Rift Valley Escarpments continue with your journey arriving in Masai Mara National Reserve in the evening.  Check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: Full day Exploring Maasai Mara National Reserve

Wake up early for breakfast and head to the endless plains of Maasai Mara for a full day of game drive, Masai Mara National Reserve has more abundant wildlife than the Masai Mara and during the game drive visitors have an excellent chance of spotting the Big Five (lion, elephants, cape buffaloes, rhinos and leopards), you will also be able to see cheetah, giraffe, hyenas, hippos, zebras and over 400 bird species recorded in the reserve. For photographers, Masai Mara is a paradise.  Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 -7: Transfer to Diani Beach & Enjoy Kenya’s Beach Safari.

Enjoy your breakfast and then transfer to Nairobi for your onward flight to Ukunda Airstrip which is near Diani Beach.  As soon as you arrive, you will be transferred to your beach accommodation. In the afternoon you will walk to the white Indian Ocean. While at Diani you will take a visit to the Marine National Park for diving with dolphins where you will have a look at the sea turtles or spot the whale sharks, do kite-surfing and sky diving.

Optional Activities: Spa treatments, dhow and sailing tours, motorised and non-motorised water activities, snorkelling and diving, guided tours (cultural, wildlife, town & city).

Day 8: Transfer  Back to Nairobi for Departure.

After breakfast at your leisure, you will be transferred to Ukunda Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi, on arrival you will be picked up by a safari driver guide and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home.
