Detailed Itinerary of the 7 Days Uganda Bwindi Gorillas and Serengeti Wildlife Safari (Day by Day)

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and transfer to the Hotel

At Kigali International Airport, our professional driver guide will meet you and show you around the cleanest city in Africa and then take you to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Take your time going through Kigali until you get to your hotel. After a quick meal and a night of rest, you will be ready for start your 7 days Uganda Bwindi gorillas and Serengeti wildlife Safari.

Day 2: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

The tour begins after breakfast when the guide collects you from your accommodation. He will take you to the mountain gorillas’ natural habitat, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Parkin Uganda. Travel to the southwestern side of Uganda by car, taking in the breathtaking landscapes and fascinating locals as you drive through multiple mountain ranges.

Day 3: Go Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Tour.

You will go straight to the park headquarters after breakfast at the lodge to talk to park rangers about gorilla trekking rules. After going over the rules for gorilla trekking for a short time, the ranger on duty will put you into groups of eight and assign you to the guides and trackers into the bush. The gorillas’ trek could last anywhere from two to six hours, depending on where they are and what they are doing.

After the gorilla trek come learn about the local culture with the Batwa pygmies in the afternoon after lunch. As you walk through the forest, you can enjoy traditional foods, talk to friendly locals, and watch traditional shows. There are souvenirs for sale that were made by local artists you might need to carry some cash if you need some local souvenirs.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali and fly to Arusha.

Get back to Kigali in time to board your flight to Arusha after breakfast. Upon your arrival in Arusha, our experienced Tanzania safari guide will be waiting to transport you to your assigned hotel for the night and dinner.

Day 5: Transfer to the Endless Plains of the Serengeti National Park

Commence the expedition to Serengeti National Park after having breakfast at your lodge in Arusha, which typically takes around 5 to 6 hours. Enjoy the flexibility of driving at your own convenience, making multiple stops at areas of interest to capture images and savor the breathtaking vistas of the golden landscape of Tanzania. Alternatively, you have the option to partake in an evening game drive in order to appreciate the stunning sunset of Serengeti and observe a multitude of large creatures as they make their way back to their resting places.

Day 6: Full day in Serengeti

Today is a full-day game drive in the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. There is an almost 100% possibility of sighting every type of animal: lions, buffalo, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, gazelles, wildebeests, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, and many more.

Following a meal in the great outdoors, you’ll follow the migration trail to watch the wildebeest herd’s migratory patterns, which travel large distances every year in search of fresh water and pastures. Later that day, you’ll get in your car and drive to the Maasai village for a real Tanzania cultural encounter. Spend your evening in the Maasai village.

Day 7: Transfer back to Arusha for Departure.

After you’ve had your breakfast, check out of the lodge and head back to Arusha. Traveling through rural Tanzania is an unforgettable experience, filled with a myriad of beautiful sights. The drive will drop you off at the airport or at the hotel of your choice, depending on which one you choose. Your seven-day safari to see the Serengeti and Uganda’s gorillas has come to an end.
