Detailed Itinerary of 4 Day Exclusive Behind The Scenes Gorilla Trekking Experience
Day 1: Arrive at Kanombe International airport and Transfer to volcanoes National Park.
After arriving at Kigali International Airport, a knowledgeable English-speaking driver will take you on a sightseeing tour of the city, stopping at landmarks like the National Market, Genocide Memorials, and Museums. Learn more about the horrific Genocide that took the lives of so many Rwandans at the Genocide Memorials and National Museums. After the city tour, you will then transfer to Kinigi for dinner and an overnight at your lodge.
Day 2: Go Gorilla Trekking.
Following the morning meal, your guide will transport you to the park headquarters for a briefing before your first behind-the-scenes gorilla experience. Following the briefing, your driving guide will take you to the beginning of the gorilla route. Your gorilla trekking guide and, if necessary, porters will join you on this hike, which is restricted to a single family or small group.
