3-Day Serengeti and Ngorongoro Fly-in Safari Detailed itinerary (Day by Day)
Day 1: Fly to Central Serengeti National Park.
The estimated time of arrival at Seronera Airstrip is 11:00 a.m. Our safari guide will be present to welcome you and will provide a picnic lunch. They will also be prepared for the safari. Your safari will commence, with a scheduled pause for lunch at approximately 1:00 p.m. You will proceed with your game drive in pursuit of the large felines of Serengeti and the other hoofed mammals. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro.
To maximize your chances of seeing predators in the wild, you’ll have to get up early for a Serengeti sunrise game drive. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to witness a breathtaking Serengeti dawn, when the sun rises over the savannah, creating an illusion of fire.
Our journey to Ngorongoro will begin after a leisurely breakfast. During this unique game drive, your guide will do his utmost to watch for the Big Five, the wildebeest migration, or anything else that catches your fancy.
Stop by one of the world-renowned Maasai bomas for a glimpse into traditional Maasai dance (and maybe even join in on the action!), a tour of a real Maasai hamlet, and some souvenir shopping at the local market. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy your breakfast and after, embark on your journey to Ngorongoro Crater, considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. Along your way, you will get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint.
Home to over 120 species of mammals including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in the world. It’s a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, and large numbers of hippopotami enjoying the cool water.
From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you will be able to observe and photograph some of Africa’s most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, cape buffalos, and more. Enjoy your picnic lunch by the park’s famous hippo pool before returning to Arusha Airport.
