Detailed itinerary of the 15 Days Tanzania Safaris & Zanzibar Beach Tour (Day by Day)

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon arrival at  Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are warmly greeted by our  Tanzania guide, who will exclaim, ‘Karibu Tanzania – welcome to Tanzania!’ The guide will direct you directly to your hotel, allowing you to unwind and absorb the African wildlife around the lodge or you can organize and go for an evening game drive depending on the time you arrive. Drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: A wonderful relaxing day in Arusha.

Today is quite a fantastic day for leisure. Spend the entire day at the resort to savor the first-rate service, sip cool beverages, lay close to the pool, and simply let the African energy surround you. Alternatively, meet Arusha by engaging in some fascinating activities, you will go on a city tour, mountain bike the fringes of the city, or get your first gifts from an exciting Maasai market.

Day 3&4: Arusha National Park.

In Arusha National Park, you will go on your game drive today! The black-and-white Colobus monkey, uncommon albino baboons, and an abundance of tropical birds make this park Arusha famous. The Colobus monkey, uncommon bird species like the beautiful Silvery Cheeked Hornbill, and if you are very fortunate, an albino, will all be on display. Beautiful grassy plains, mountains, craters, waterfalls, and a lake are all features of the park. Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy the comfortable accommodations and helpful staff at your hotel today, or choose from a variety of exciting activities! The stunning waterfalls of Mount Meru are one such option. Just a short stroll will bring you to this spot, where you can cool yourself in the waterfall’s icy water. Enjoy your meal in peace and quiet as you listen to the birdsong and follow the flow of the water. On your way back, keep an eye out for the fascinating Colobus monkey or the Silvery Cheeked Hornbill.

Day 5: Tarangire National Park.

Transfer to Tarangire National Park which is renowned for its large populations of elephants and the abundance of colossal baobab trees. These trees may endure for centuries and serve as a water source for elephants throughout the arid season, as they possess a unique method to extract water from them. The Tarangire River serves as the sole water source during the dry season, resulting in the congregation of up to 250 elephants alongside several other creatures in Tarangire during this period.

Day 6 – 8: Serengeti National Park (central west/east)

Famous for being a stop along the route of the Great Migration, Serengeti National Park has become synonymous with safaris. The predator population is immense, with over 4,000 lions, 225 cheetahs, 1,000 leopards, 3,500 hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs! The enormous stampeding herds are spectacular, too. Day 9: Ngorongoro Conservation Area (incl. Crater)

Ngorongoro Crater is a world-renowned natural wonder. Two million years ago, a massive volcano erupted, leaving behind a crater. The most diverse array of animals seen in Africa has made its home in this one-of-a-kind habitat, which was formed by the rich lava. Once within the crater, you will be overwhelmed by the sight of thousands of animals, including lions, zebras, buffalo, and black rhinos.

Day 10: Flight to Zanzibar (included in the price)

Upon arrival, our guide will be waiting to transport you to your accommodation. Beaches with powdery white sand, blue seas with a prism of clarity, and thriving coral reefs are all within your reach in the days ahead.  The next stop should be Stone Village, where you may learn all about the intriguing history of this little village. Indulge in the different flavors of the local cuisine by visiting the spice plantations, another must-do for foodies.

Day 11 – 14: Zanzibar Island Tour

This morning, you will get to see the beautiful, tropical Zanzibar! It would be hard to believe if the white sand beaches and azure waves of the Indian Ocean weren’t utterly breathtaking. Day 15: Flight home from Zanzibar.

Today is the last day of our safari. You will spend some time lounging on the beach or discovering more of the island. This will depend on the time of your flight. Your guide will then pick you up and transport you to Zanzibar International Airport.
