Detailed itinerary of 7 days Maasai Mara and Serengeti Safari
Day 1: Nairobi—Lake Nakuru
As soon as you arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be picked up by your safari guide who will brief you about the safari, and then after, you will embark on your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park which is a birder’s haven with millions of flamingos and water birds and a home to white and black rhinos.
Along your way, you will enjoy the beautiful scenic views of the countryside of Kenya as you arrive in the park. Arrive in time for lunch, check in at the lodging, and enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for an afternoon game drive where you will get an opportunity to observe animals such as zebras, antelopes, elephants, leopards, black and white rhinos, and many birds such as flamingos, cormorants among others at the shores of Lake Nakuru. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru- Maasai Mara
After enjoying your delicious breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive, exit the park, and embark on a journey to Maasai Mara National Reserve driving through Longonot and Suswa and on to the Western walls with a stopover at Narok for re-fuelling and then lunch. You will arrive in time for an evening game drive which is a perfect time for spotting the Big Five such as lions, elephants, leopards, cape buffaloes, and rhinos.
Maasai Mara is one of the largest protected areas in Kenya and one of the most popular Kenya wildlife destinations, the reserve is located in Southwestern Kenya and it was named by the local Masai people as the northern continuation of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Masai Mara National Reserve is recorded as one of the 7th wonders of the world and the annual wildebeest migration.

Day 3&4: Maasai (Full Day)
Enjoy your breakfast and get back to the reserve where you will spend the 2 days exploring the endless plains of Maasai Mara National Reserve as you search for the abundant wildlife including the black manned lions, Cheetahs, and leopards among others with picnic lunch served at the picnic site at Mara River.
In case you visit the reserve at the right time for the annual migration which is July to October, you will be able to come across vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles wandering across the Mara grasslands. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Maasai-Mara-Serengeti
Enjoy your early morning breakfast and check out of your lodge to embark on your journey to Serengeti National Park using the Isebania border. As soon as you finish with the formalities, you will cross to Tanzania and proceed to Serengeti. Arrive at your lodge in the evening. Have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6: Full day in Serengeti
After enjoying your breakfast, you will head to the endless plains of Serengeti National Park for a full-day game viewing where you will get an opportunity to explore the park and spot a variety of wildlife including lions, wildebeests, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, cape buffaloes, antelopes, gazelles, zebras among others.
Serengeti National Park is the oldest and most popular national park in Tanzania, the park is also a World Heritage Site and recently it was proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder. Serengeti National Park is famed for the annual migration which is a yearly migration of over 2 million wildebeests and ten thousand of zebras and Thomson gazelles trek in the Mara -Serengeti Ecosystem in search for water and green pastures. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Serengeti -Arusha
Rise up very early in the morning, pack up your luggage, and then enjoy your breakfast. You will then check out off your lodge and go for the last game drive in the plains of Serengeti National Park, exit, and embark on a journey to Arusha for a drop-off either at the airport or your departure flight back home.
