Detailed itinerary of the 5-Days Kenya Safari in Amboseli and Tsavo West from Diani Beach  (Day by Day)

Day 1: Travel from Diani Beach to Tsavo West

Enjoy your early morning breakfast  as early as 6:00 am and then after you will be picked up by your safari  guide who will drive you from  Mombasa beach hotel. You will then embark on your journey to  Tsavo West, with stop overs  along the way for refreshments and to take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.

Visitors to this park  are welcomed with breath-taking views of vast grasslands, rocky peaks, volcanic formations, and a variety of species that calls the area home.  You will then enjoy your  lunch and relax preparing for an evening  game drive, with a focus on the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary. The endangered but amiable rhinoceros species calls this sanctuary home. While in this park, you will get to see a number of variety of wildlife, such as leopards, wild dogs, buffalo, rhinos, lions, crocodiles, mongooses, hyraxes, and smaller kudus, among other species. From there, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tsavo West National Park  

Enjoy your break fast and then embark on your journey to Tsavo West National park for an early game drive. These beautiful animal species are best seen in the morning hours before the sun arises. Among  these animals include the  mongoose, elephants, cape buffaloes, wild dogs, and leopards.

Drive to the lodge for lunch and then prepare for an afternoon  game drive to further explore the huge plains of Tsavo West.  You will also have the chance to explore the Mzima Springs, where you can see crocodiles and hippos in addition to a range of uncommon fish species. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Depart from Tsavo West and travel to Amboseli.

After enjoying your breakfast, you will leave the lodge, and embark on your journey to Amboseli National Park. While on your way, enjoy the beautiful experience of observing and appreciating the African sunrise.

Continue with your journey arriving in the afternoon, enjoy your lunch and enter into the park where you will be welcomed by the magnificent views of the snow-covered summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. After lunch, you will embark on a wildlife excursion within the park. Because Amboseli National Park has sparse  and scattered vegetation,   tourists get more  chances  to witness a wide variety of wildlife, such as large groups of elephants, giraffes, elands, warthogs, wildebeests, lions, leopards, and others. More on that, you will be able to admire the breathtaking images showcasing the grandeur of the summit and the immense gatherings of elephants. Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Spend the entire day at Amboseli.

After enjoying your breakfast, you will get ready for your entire day game drive in the park where you will get an opportunity to see the picturesque snowy summit of Mount Kilimanjaro incase you had missed it the day before.  Today, you get the chance to completely immerse yourself in the breathtaking natural wonders of the park. Remain vigilant throughout the game drive to spot majestic lions, elusive leopards, attractive giraffes, elegant impalas, brilliant zebras, and magnificent herds of elephants, along with other enthralling species.

Enjoy your picnic lunch at a specific location within the park. During the afternoon, you will be given an opportunity  to either participate in another game drive or visit the Maasai Village. During your visit to the village, you will be able to engage with these local Maasai People, allowing you to develop a deep understanding of their lifestyle and cultural customs. Additionally, you will have the option to obtain some of their  nice looking crafted beaded handicrafts.

Drive  back to your accommodation for  dinner and  overnight stay.

Day 5: Depart from Amboseli and travel to Diani Beach.

Since this is the final day, you will enjoy your morning breakfast, and set yourself  ready to embark on your journey back to Dian Beach. During your journey, you will have the opportunity to engage yourself  in a wildlife drive in Amboseli.  You will have a stop over, enjoy your lunch and then continue  with your journey  arriving in Dian Beach for either your onward flight or back to your accommodation.
