Mara Sopa Lodge
Located on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first lodges to be put up in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
All the buildings exhibit the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs. They stretch along the line of the hills with large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their Centre. The large and furnished circular area has a massive central fireplace whose chimney soars twenty meters up to the top of the thatched conical roof.
The walls and their murals are painted with a great mix of striking colors to create a warm ambience. There is a sheltered but outdoor veranda which offers views over the swimming pool, the gardens, and the game reserve. It is also linked to the outdoor dining room by a bridge.
